Our book is a Sunday Times Bestseller and Reese Whitherspoon has it on her book list – this is what she says:
“For years I’ve been a huge Jojo Moyes fan. It’s such a great narrative about personal strength and really captures how books bring communities together, especially for these women who are completely bonded by their love of literature.”

I am halfway into the book and the central characters are women, finding strengths and reserves in the role they are playing in their community. A situation to which many of us can relate right now.

Feel free to chat here. Please be mindful that your comments should not be spoilers for other readers who aren’t as far along in the book as you.

I have only just got the book but am keen to get started. I really enjoyed ‘Me Before You’ although I didn’t want it to end as it did. I read ‘Me After You’ too although I haven’t read any of her other books so am looking forward to this one.

Oh that’s interesting missy, you will get sucked into it pretty quickly, I did!
I read Me Before You also and found it intensely sad, but hers aren’t always quite as heavy as that. I can’t think of one that I’ve read by Jojo Moyes that didn’t have some kind of secret in it.

Well I’ve listened to it a few times to make sure its sunk in, and I’ve really enjoyed it.  I haven’t read any of her other books, I can’t wait for the chat next week!

I will say I recommended it to my mum because I enjoyed it so much.

I’m really disappointed that life got in the way this time, I’m still only 3/4 of the way through. I love how Alice has been written so far and the bond between the book girls is wonderful.
