Tell Me About … Bondage

Bondage is a huge part of our play. I like the feeling of excitment, nervousness and freedom that runs through me all at the same time. The excitement because I love this sort of play, nervousness because I don’t know exactly how or what we will play with and the freedom to let go when Sir takes charge. Some of the equipment we have in our cupboard to use in play is;

Blindfold – I like to be blindfolded. Taking away my sight gives my brain less to process so i can focus more on what I’m feeling. My hearing picking out movements hinting at what might happen next, the drumming of my heartbeat echoing in my ears. I find that when not blindfolded I will close my eyes unless Sir tells me not to. Sir is careful with me whilst blindfolded as I’m not always that steady on my feet at the best of times.

Cuffs – cuffs are very versatile, in play, in the positions I can be put in. I can be well and truly secured with my hands cuffed together, in front of me, behind my back, above my head, cuffs to collar, or thigh / ankles cuffs. More recently we invested in some leather, padded, wrist suspension cuffs. Although we have only had chance to use them once, they considerably extended the amount of time that Sirs had me secured over the bed. I could help to support myself by wrapping my fingers over the D rings, in doing this it reduced the pressure on my wrist so it didn’t restrict the blood flow into my hands. I’m looking forward to using these more, hopefully soon.

Collar – my collar is quite thick, leather and has numerous rings all around it. Sir has used these rings so far to attach wrist cuffs, keeping my hands nice and safe and rope to move me around or secure me in different way. He also uses it to keep the anal hook in place. Just wearing my collar and cuffs puts me in a submissive space even if we don’t use them in any other way. During snuggles after play I like to keep cuffs and collar on for as long as possible to retain those feelings.

Spreader bar – being a DIY/I can do this/hands on/always thinking kind of guy, Sir made a lovely wooden spreader bar. Thinking about it we probably don’t give this enough credit and although we don’t use it much, it is pretty.

Verbal bondage. Sir will tell me to get into position, no restraints, and I’m to remain there until he says otherwise. To do as he says and the promise of what is to come keeps me rooted to the spot. However, as things intensify I sometimes ‘drop’ out of position before moving quickly back. It’s a feeling that whatever is happening is too much I want it to stop, so I slump down, but with that brief pause I realise ‘no, please don’t stop’ and quickly resume the position. Sometimes Sir will ask ‘did I tell you to move?’. He says he likes to see me wriggling/struggling to get back into position.

Eye bolts – Sir has fixed eye bolts on opposite sides of the bedroom. They are discreetly positioned attracting no attention from little eyes, or big ones (not that we get much through traffic in our bedroom). Sir will use these bolts and attach rope to them to secure me in a desired position over the bed. The length of rope he uses will determine if I am sat kneeling, raised upright on my knees or leaning forward / back which puts my upper body weight on my cuffs and gives me more of a feeling of suspension. We also use 1 bolt at a time to secure my arms above my head and body against the wall. Another well thought out piece of equipment by Sir.

As a treat we spent a night away in a dungeon where we had access to lots of equipment (and room to swing a cat). I had been looking forward to being on a cross but being on it wasn’t how I imagined. On reflection we realised the cross was positioned bolt upright. I didn’t feel safe in the way that I felt like I was going to topple backwards. We thought it would be better if slightly angled, so that the top was closer to the wall than the bottom and looking at pictures of other venues their crosses seem to be positioned in this way. Although, it was not the experience I imagined it to be it’s something I would like to try again

While at the dungeon we also used;
The spanking bench, which had buckles to secure me at my ankles, knees, thighs, over my back and numerous rings down each side for cuffs and collar to be secured in various positions. It was strange that, knowing I was totally secured in position, with minimal wriggle room, made me relax more. Well for a while at least. The bench allowed great access to my back, arse, legs, feet and pussy with my knees spread wide.

The hoist with suspension wrist cuffs was fun. I was secured, definitely not going anywhere, but i could also move. A mix of physical and mental bondage I suppose. Trying to stay in Sirs desired position was challenging as he used various impact ‘toys’ on me. Going against my body’s natural reaction to flinch/move and to stay in position and relaxed was tough but I enjoyed the challenge and it was very rewarding. Sir also enjoyed this hoist. The thought of me ‘teetering’ round in just my heals, squirming around while trying to stay in position, will put a smile on his face.

The hoist with ankle cuffs/boots was something we tried for photos only. The boot cuffs weren’t very comfortable. I think as we were limited on time and there was so much we wanted to do, so we probably rushed the fitting of the foot/ankle cuff. I’d like to try again and maybe use a sock/ankle warmer (sexy flashback to the 80’s) to protect and support my foot and ankle.

I think it’s important to keep in mind I like to be comfortable when getting uncomfortable and I don’t want to be harmed when getting hurt.
