Hello book loving friends.
We met and discussed the book for November: Making Him Wait by Kay Jaybee
I met Kay at a recent erotic conference for writers and bloggers and podcasters, where she was running writing workshops and I’ve been a fan ever since!
Our readers enjoyed the book, we discussed plenty of hot arty-themed scenes to make one of…[Read more]
Well book lovers – how are you getting on with this month’s book? I know reading isn’t a chore for you guys, but fitting time to read into a busy life can be hard. I know – I’ve joined audible so that I can squeeze in more opportunities to dive into a book!
Anyway here’s my tip, and it probably only works for those using an e-reader or tablet -…[Read more]
I’m excited that this month we are choosing a book from the withing the adult blogging / writing community. If you’ve ever visited my site (PosyChurchgate.com) you’ll have noticed that I write erotic fiction and review books of an explicit nature. To me this feels like a way of supporting fellow writers and I’ve suggested 4 books…[Read more]

Hi Jimmy – at the moment we are reading Fingersmith, and are due to talk about it on 1 October (which doesn’t leave you much time to read the book, but you can join us if you’re only partway into it)
There was a post which listed the first 4 books, but honestly Jimmy we may have to rethink the next book as it may be hard to get hold of. We’d love…[Read more]
Hi all – I finished the book last week and wow! what a riveting read. I found the ending very satisfying and the characters incredibly sympathetically drawn. I hope you’re all enjoying it as much as me.
Would it suit all if we changed the date of our discussion night? I can no longer make the 10th – I have no internet where I am staying. I…[Read more]
Fingersmith – how are you all getting on?
I am 3/4 way in and loving it – very twisty plot with lots of surprises. Quite different from Tipping the Velvet, I find I’m reminded a little of a Charles Dickens book.
I propose giving us a little more time – I have a couple of friends who’d like to participate but haven’t had much…[Read more]
Gosh it’s hot in my part of the UK at the moment! So it’s been the ideal opportunity to pull a chair into the shade and crack open our latest read – Fingersmith by Sarah Waters.
I have previously read 2 other books by Sarah Waters, she is an accomplished writer who tends to write stories with a period backdrop. This novel, like…[Read more]

Wonderful news Brigit, I look forward to you joining us for the book discussions later this month. I finished The Wife Between Us this weekend and was really impressed. Like you the fact there were 2 authors was not detectable, they must work together seamlessly!
I could feel menace as I read the book, and deception and secrets. I kept guessing…[Read more]
I have finished ‘book 1’ and I’m onto the 2nd book now. The 2 authors thing is seamless. The first twist took me totally by surprise, I was caught out making assumptions and was I wrong. There is an all pervading menace to the book which has definitely increased now I am half-way in.
I am reminded of genre which includes The Girl on the Train and…[Read more]

Well I have downloaded the book and am about to start reading.
As well as losing myself in the plot – which I’m gathering is packed with surprises because we are told not to assume we know the ‘anatomy’ of a love triangle – I shall be wondering how two authors write together.
Will there be two distinct voices or will they blend seamlessly…[Read more]
